Sure. Just read your owners manual and learn about the camera's macro feature and how to adjust the white balance. Invest in a good light source too. I use an Ott task light. The toughest thing to me is getting the lighting adjusted right. You also want to buy a good mini tripod. I can't hold my camera still enough by hand so I bought a really good small tripod.

Others will chime in here soon I'm sure

  • Maybe.

The camera doesn't seem to by limiting factor. I think it has more to do with the operator.

There are many photographic threads around here, so do some searching to find some great tips for taking pictures of your coins.

Also, you will probably need some sort of stand to get good pictures. I have a home-built one but there are many for sale.

I can give you basic instructions on how to construct one like mine if you want.

  • Theop,I agree on the "has to do with the operator" part.Heck,it took me half a day to figure out how to take a pic and view it.image I already have a camera holder half built.I'm attaching lighting fixtures to it.Does'nt look near as nice as yours, but I think it'll work.Thanx guys.
