When you complete a GRADED/SLABBED set, what do you do next?.......

Sell it? Keep it and move on to another? Do you hoard graded sets? I'm curious. For me it would cost

entirely too much money; therefore, ending up in a divorce with my wife.image
What is money, in reality, but dirty pieces of paper and metal upon which privilege is stamped?

I plan on keeping mine until I die unless there comes a time when I am really desperate for some money.

Look for upgrades or start another series.

Keep it and move on to the next set - always looking for upgrades to the previously completed sets tho!

Upgrade baby, upgrade! Really it is more fun and more of a challenge than completing one.

Yes, I must agree. I once had an almost complete set of Morgans in PCGS slabs, short the 93-S, 94-P & 95. Now I'm working on upgrading my Wash. quarters collection in the Whitman blue books. This is where the fun is. Walkers are my secondary collection in W.B.B., I'm upgrading slowly (it's book #2, book #1 will be quite expensive in the lowest gradesimage).

I've never slabbed a set, only individual coins in the set that I feel warrant slabbing for authenticity or grade.
I've sold some sets and kept others.
  • I am going to keep my top 2 graded Morgas and sell the rest. Then start a new one!! Jerry

I have yet to complete a set, but would probably keep it.

    That's not complete. The "2003-S 50C 96918 50C PR69DC" needs to be PR70DC to be complete....image

You take them out every now and then and admire them.

You educate your kids so when you die they can sell them at good prices if they want, or, educate their own kids and pass them on.
