Cracking Open Plastic Holders

I have some plastic holders from non-government mints that hold sets of US coins in them (4,5 each), and I was wondering what is the best way to crack them out?

He is not talking about opening slabs.
  • He's talking about those sets like for example: last of the century, World War II, Faces of the Penny. Ive got a few of them, some in hard shell and some in thin plastic. I myself used a screwdriver to pry the sides off, although be careful not to stab yourself, should come out unharmed.

I use a dremel, too. Although if you're not careful it can re-melt the plastic making it a very annoying job.

Run 'em over with a Volkswagen a couple of times. The 'bug,' not the other models. Preferably a yellow one.

I agree with Lawman...but, the VW should have bald tires. Otherwise, you could get "tread marks" on the coin. Good luck!image
