If you had $62,100 to spend on one card what would it be?

Yes, another thread about that card. If I had that to blow on one card it would be a 1933 Goudey NAPOLEON LAJOIE PSA 8 - SMR 50K. Just curious to see what other would do with $62,100.

  • I couldn't bring myself to spend that on one card. I would have to spread it out! image

Definitely a NBA logoman 1/1 patch card of Tree Rollins and World B. Free, err, I mean Kobe and LeBron?

edited to say: Only a fool would spend that kinda cake on a anything printed after 1955. I'll spend my $62K on a 1941 PlayBall Joe DiMaggio in PSA 9 (SMR is $60K).

  • I can think of what I would buy with $63,000, but not $62,100. Nevertheless, with the latter amount I would purchase a PSA 8 Yaz 1964 Stand-up...Oh lucky day, I think there's one on Ebay right now.

a mantle from psa 6 or up with perfect centering and only corner damage...whatever money left over sink into other collectibles like a mantle bat or just put it in the bank and collect interest.

I'd never use it to buy a card. I'd waste it recklessly on beer, hookers, and happy grass and take off to Vegas for a week. Oh wait, I can get all that in Vegas image

    Hmnn! W/ $62,100 - I would buy the 1963 Topps, 1964 Topps & 1965 Topps complete sets in PSA-8's, thats 1761 diff NM/MT cards for a mere $62,019, w/ the extra $81, I'll take the wife out for a nice meal...jay

A PSA 8 US Caramel and Sport Kings Bobby Jones. Figure I could pick both of them up and still have some change left over

Well - since we are basing this on SMR, which can often be unrealistic, I'll just go ahead for that card that does not exist:

1914 Cracker Jack #88 Christy Mathewson PSA 9 MINT (SMR $50,000)
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.
