anyone heard of a quarter with tails on both sides? because I have one here...

I know nothing about numismatics, would appreciate opinions on this very strange coin that I found in my change one day...
It definitely seems authentic, besides the fact that it's a mutant!

  • Check for a seam where either;

    the two halves are glued together, or

    just inside the rim on one of the sides. Magician's coins are typically hollowed out with
    a lathe to form a "bowl", with one side and a complete rim intact. Then, a second coin
    is machined down to fit into the bowl.
