need advice

I Just got my GW funeral medal back from it's 2 month trip to New York.
This is one from Stacks catalogin 2002. Notice it says only 2 known....I have number 3.
The person who owns the piece in the link got to compare the 2 at the Stacks Ford auction last month.
Mine is below and I plan on selling, but don't know how.
A well known consultant for Stacks offered to help and I've met some good people from C4 who would help me get it into their auction in November.
Stacks would probably get me the most money, but C4 would put the piece in the hands of a collector versus an investor.
I'm so confused......are there any other options?
Should I have posted this on the dark side?
Thanks
Tim

Very neat medal, is that listed in Hakes?

How much do estimate it is worth?

Sell it for whatever the market will bear by using the sales method that will achieve that goal.

    Aethelred,
I don't know what Hakes is. the piece is a Baker 169a bronze. Fuld/ Rulua had something on it in the 1960's. The holed piece in the Stacks link used to belong to Fuld and sold for 3600 back then.

    Poseidon,
The 2 years of my life I spent researching this chunk of metal is laughable, but no joke.

    Placid,
I have no clue as to the worth. I've had quotes from 10k up. The way I see it is you could buy a Camaro for 3600 back in the 60s, so what does one go for now, and is a Camaro without a hole and in better shape worth more?
Oh, and thanx for the replies. I was getting angry at the US forum for letting this die unanswered.

I would let stacks sell it.

Let Stacks sell it, but make sure you have a reserve.

I would have to agree with Placid.Getting the most $'s would be for me.I wouldn't count out the collectors in a Stacks auction, either !
