You make it a bit difficult to venture an opinion when you resist it so readily.

Where do you arrive at the $2.20 over $50.00 quote? It's nowhere near that much at my Post Office!
Also, Priority is a bit of a rip considering First Class gets it there about as quick and for much, much less.
Coins worth about $200.00 or less should travel at $3.00 postage, and that includes insurance.

S&H and insurance seem to never make some people happy.
I remember a buyer complaining about my high S&H and ins on a 1909sVDB I sold a long time ago.
Heck, I have to package it all up, $0.90 for a padded envelope. Plus super tough bubble wrap taped around the coin package. A inside copy of the auction printout.
Then I have to drive over to the USPO, and wait in line for 30 minutes to get to the counter, then I get hassled by the clerk as to why I need to insure such a package for so much money. then you need to get it sent registered as well too.
Now I started to use the small priority mail boxes, the clerks don't seem to hassle me about them like the padded envelopes. Of course I do love those super tough bubble wrap pouches. Hard to get open. helps keep the thievery down.
I haven't sold anything cheap lately, so I guess I need to come up with something cheap again. I wonder if they make any small indestructable plastic envelopes like those priority mail envelopes at the USPO. I think the USPO automatic sorting machines sometimes eat the small packages. I have received some pretty mangled chewed up packages before. Of course I haven't received a empty envelope or package in quite a while now. I think the USPO tosses the whole thing in the dead letter bin, when it gets mangled nowadays.

If they're under 1oz., then yes... that fee doesn't apply if postage is 60c or higher.
