PCGS is paying for Inserts again!

Maybe this is old news, but I got a check in the mail for $2.00 from PCGS, plus a letter of thanks for turning in some inserts. I know they used to pay $.50 bounty for inserts, but I'd thought they'd long discontinued the practice.
This is good news, if they're back in the business. They really need to work on getting their population figures back to something close to accurate.
People like Russ can probably retire, if they'll turn in all of theirs!

Funny you should mention that. I decided to do the right thing and went through my big box of busted slabs and pulled out all the PCGS labels. Then I even inventoried the labels, and they're sitting here in an envelope. I was unsure of the procedure for returning them, so I posted a question in Q&A. Didn't get an answer, so the envelope is still sitting here.

That's probably because they don't have enough cash to pay for all the inserts you have.
I will save the inserts if it is PCGS that I end up buy to fill those holes
Thanks for the information Dpoole

To whose attention? Or, does that matter? Anything need to be noted on the envelope to make sure they get routed correctly?

How can the numbers get anywhere near accurate with all the crackouts and resubmits done over the years? The error is cumulative.
So are the pop reductions due to returned inserts.

Russ -- I just put 'em in an envelope to PCGS, and include a brief hand-written note. Seems to take care of it.

Barry -- You're right, of course. But it helps keep the problem from getting worse.

Okay. But, were the pop numbers actually adjusted? I really don't give a rip about the bounty, I just need to get rid of the guilt.

I DK, Russ. I'm not anal enough to keep track. I just always sent 'em in.
I guess if they're paying for them again, they intend to do SOMETHING with them.

The way I understand it, you don't get paid until the cert. number has actually been deleted.
