Opinions on ebay seller?

Seller's ID is saulwww. He's got alot of raw stuff for sale but the
pictures look dull and unappealing. Anyone have any experience
with them?

Could just be a bad scan. Look at the BST forum of my buffalos and the scans are hoorible. On mine the areas that are gray look brown on the scan. God, I can't wait to get a digital camera!

  • I think the "pos" feedback comment about there not being FBLs as stated in the description was interesting. I asked one seller of raw coins if he could send it onto a coin dealer after I won so I could take advantage of his return policy in case the coin was cleaned. He challenged my bluff and said sure! Short story shorter-I lost. Cleaned coin in the end.
  • Never hear of him and your right his stuff looks ho hum.

I bought one coin from him before, already in NGC holder tho; no problems on the deal.

That's Harold B. Weitz out of Pittsburg. If you have read coin publications in the past, you've seen his ads.

About 3 years ago, I was responsible for getting him suspended from Ebay for 30 days. His son was shilling hundreds of his auctions. Wasn't NARUed because he's a power seller. I wouldn't buy from him.
  • I purchased a 1855 seated liberty dime from him about 2 years ago, under redbook at that time.and it was a pretty nice coin, probably a VF+. He never stated a grade on the coin probably why there wasn't much interest.

I'll take a good deal anytime I can get one!

PS. At that time I don't think he was a Ebay power seller..maybe a couple hundred feedbacks.

Yes I'm a newbie here and I really enjoy most of the articles in here, very insightful and tons of knowledge it seems like. image

I'm leery of raw coins on Ebay. 50% of my purchases have been bad, either cleaned or damaged. Hard to find someone trustworthy on the Bay with raw stuff IMO
    Prost!

Why step over the dollar to get to the cent? Because it's a 55DDO.

I haven't purchased from him, but I see his listings frequently when I'm looking for bust halves. His bust halves usually look very cleaned and overgraded, so I just keep moving...... image
