Regrade upgrade/downgrade question.

Hi,
What does pcgs consider a upgrade or downgrade on coins like dmpl morgans or dcam proofs?
Example if I send in a MS65 DM PL morgan for regrade and the graders give it a MS66 what would pcgs consider the higher grade?

If it is the MS66 I guess one is taking a risk if said coin is worth more as a 65dmpl than a plain 66?

    When you use the PCGS regrade service we guarantee that the grade will not go down and the designation will not change. So if you send a MS65PL Morgan in for regrade, for example, it will come back MS65DMPL, MS66DMPL, MS66PL, or stay the same MS65PL. It will not come back MS66 non-PL.

    In the rare instances where the coin is a mistake and should be lowered in grade or the designation changed, we make a settlement with the submitter based on our grading guarantee.
