Well I just started a registry for Dan Marino Master Set 896 Cards. It aint happening but I figure what the heck. So is this as addictive as I think it is going to be?

Welcome aboard Aknot! I've been wondering when some of the guys from the other forums would get involved.. I've only got 2 sets going, one of which I havent even added a card yet, I just PLAN to..
896 cards in that set? Where did they all come from? Picking such a large set to start with will clearly drive you mad, but you'll have fun in the process I'm sure.

Dont let him get discouraged by 896 cards, just keep re-assuring him with chants of:
"You can do it! You can do it! You can do it! You CAN do it! YOU CAN DO IT!"
I have been a huge Marino collector for years and have 3 or 4 thousand of his cards. I just started my Marino registry yesterday - but only have a half dozen graded at this point. Most of my graded cards are vintage. Just skimming the list, I can see there are MANY cards not listed in the master listing (896 cards). There are only a few past 1999 - but there are at least 30 to 40 issued the past several years. I'm going to start going through my Marino's and see what's not listed - and started sending them in to be graded. God knows I probably have 80 to 90% of the cards in the master listing

It looks like the majority are from 1995 to present according to the set composition. The only problem with player sets is the composition changes every year. Is it me or does it seem like your player set is never 100%.

But, don't let Mrs. Aknot in on how much it's going to cost you to "do it"...

THAT is a given.
Thanks everyone.
