Man, I just came back from a card show and it was dead. Considering it is Father's Day; I expected to see a lot of dads with their sons/daughters etc. Dominick Davis was the autograph guest and there was no line. I didn't see more than 10 people get items signed. Dropped off my GAI submission of 89 cards and walked around a bit. Saw some nice trimmed BGS cards. Laughed at the dealers with FGS 10, GEM 10, and other off brand cards. They treated it and marked it (price) like it was gold. Everyone's prices were 50% to book....way too high for junk I can get on Ebay for 25 - 33% so I left. Have a good one everyone!

Brand new fathers day memory. Today being fathers day also happens to be my wedding anniversary as well as my lil brothers birthday. My wife and I have an 18 game plan for Phillies tickets this year in the new and amazing Citizens Bank ballpark. My wife defers her ticket to me so I can take my 16 year old little (6 foot 2) baby brother to his first game at the new stadium. Well, Jim Thome pounds 2 home runs and misses a third by about 10 feet. Yet to top it all off Jimmy Rollins brought the crowd to its feet with an inside the park home run. The sides of my face already hurt because I haven't stop smiling all day. I mean 50,000 people almost never sat down during the first 5 innings, just one amazing day.
And now I get to go catch fire flies with my 2 and 1/2 year old, who I cant wait to take the fathers day game next year. Today was a good day.

Holy cow, Putty. It's my anniversary too. Number 3 for homegirl and me. And Father's Day number 2. As a true testament to my maturity level, I got the new Beastie Boys and Morrissey CD's and True Crime: Streets of LA for PS2. Guess she's waiting until my birthday to give me the PSA 8 '53 Parkie Gordie Howe.
