1913-S Grade Results

I appreciate the input on the 1913-S Buffalo that I wasn't too sure about. Instead of just putting it up on eBay, I decided to send it in to get a more accurate grade, and authenticity.

I sent it to ANACS for a quick answer, and it came back as a VF20 Type 2 with Lamination. I've attached a pictue.

Any opinions on what I might be able to get for it?
A 1943 copper Lincoln will still only buy a gumball out of the machine, but you can purchase the machine and the store with that same cent.

What is money, in reality, but dirty pieces of paper and metal upon which privilege is stamped?

Coin World Values lists it at $400. Nice coin.

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

  • Thanks. Do you think the lamination on the nose would bring any sort of premium. I thought it was a cud, but ANACS called it differently.

The coin, most likely, will bring less money because of the lamination. Very rarely, and I mean VERY RARELY, you will find a buffalo nickel that sells for a premium because of the lamination.

Depending on the size of the lamination, pcgs and ngc will not slab certain buffalo nickels. I haven't found a tried and true formula to determining the cut off on lamination size in relation to a bodybag as of yet though. They slab some, not others.

I figure the correct submitter would get the benefit of the doubt. image

and that's for BOTH of the above mentioned services.
