Ok...What are these "TRENDS" pricing quotes I keep seeing on Ebay? Are they acurate?

Or are they like the pcgs guide? I don't have a greysheet with me and I needed some pricing help and I was wondering if these quotes in trends are acurate or not.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks!!!

"Trends" refers to the Coin World price guide which is now called Coin Values (but the word Trends will stick around for a while, I'm sure).

The accuracy really depends on the coin. But in general they refer to retail prices, where the Greysheet is wholesale (dealer-to-dealer).

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

From what I can tell, Trends (now Coin Values) is the most widely used retail price guide - except perhaps for ultra high grade modern coins, which I don't think they included until recently (It's not a market I pay attention to).
