Does it piss you off when

you list your coins at a ridiculously low price, five or more people have looked and nobody places a bid?
If this happens to me, I just keep raising the starting price until someone wises up! Do they actually think they are going to get a $50 coin for $.99!

Those folks are known as "sharpshooters". Most of them place huge numbers of very low bids with the hope of winning every now and then. I often wonder how often they actually "score". In my case, they have never won even a single auction.
    All glory is fleeting.

No, but I may get it for $20 or less and I hope it wrenches your gut out to mail it to me. I want to hurt you in your wallet.
I'll place a hundred bids a week and win one or two. Many sellers cancel my low bids. I expect about 20% of the sellers to reneg on the deals that they initiate.

Do people have to bid if they look? It's their right to not have to bid.

  • Have you ever heard of sniping??? Only people who want to over pay place bids early unless they want to book mark the coin if the opening bid is super low.
  • No, most response rates or click thru rates on the internet are only 1-3%. You pay for the exposure to a wide audience.

Apparently theres getting to be too many people trying to play dealer! When I see enough people looking and nobody has enough integrity to place a bid of .99, I will up the price until they figure it out!

No, I dont touch the auction once a bid is placed, I only stop an auction if I see an error or the high bidder makes me an offer I can't refuse!

You are complaining because YOU set the starting price at 99 cents and people aren't placing bids even though they are looking?
hmmm...maybe they are looking for a good bargain and the coins you are offering for the aren't good enough for them? image

Seriously...if it bothers you, then don't set it there. Don't blame others for not bidding. No one HAS to bid on your auctions.

I look at plenty of coins that have low starting. I may not like the pics, I may not like the SELLERS, or anything else.

Realize this...I, and others, do NOT have to bid on auctions we don't want to...regardless of the price.

I am glad you keep waiting for bidders to "wise up" .... sheesh....some people

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

  • Where are your coins that are up for auction? I'd like to look and bid.

    yeah it does....

i put 13,ooo dollar worth of non coin mechandise (one lot) started at .99 cents (with a resonable reserve)...

had one bidder...after it was over, he had the nerve to email me and ask if i'd consider his "high" bidimage

    i replied...your joking right? 99 cents?

he replied..."i'll have you know i bid $200 on your auction!

i replied...yer off yer freakin' rocker if you think yer gettin' $13,ooo worth of stuff for $200...and by the way...nobody challenged
your 99 cent bid...so that is what yer"high" bid was!...piss off!
