Elwood, it's fine to post pictures of your coins as long as it's not done for advertising purposes. Just don't include a link in your signature line or say they are for sale. Also if you have them for sale in the BST forum it is not acceptable either- I guess just use common sense and you'll be fine. mike

I don't know about anyone else, but anything is for sale in my collection for a price. You might not like the price, but that's not my problem. I would assume most if not all of you are the same.

I'm not sure, but I am guessing most of you are dealers. I'm just a collector. This is your business. I would assume that anyone can make offers in PM. You can always say no. This is one of the unique things about our hobby (or area of expertise). I expect coins to be for sale here.

Now post some pictures!

I for one do not care if you make a post that says something like "I really like this or that about this coin" and then post the pic. It is different than saying "This coin is $X" and then post the pic. As long as the intent is to discuss coins and not sell coins, I have no problem with you posting your coin pics.

Maybe I wasn't clear in my post. I am not saying that I am posting to sell. In general, I am not a seller. I am a buyer. My point was that if I post a picture and someone were to PM me saying I would offer a millions dollars, I would sell just about anything they wanted. You won't ever see me trying to sell on here. Sorry if I lead you to believe I would.
