Funny thing just happened with my 6 year old son.

My six year old, Danny, and I were just talking about coins. I gave him a copy of a 1776 Continental Dollar and he just thought that was the coolest thing in the world. Then I showed him a group of 20 ancient coins. I said, "Danny, these are really, really old coins. They are ancient." He replied, "wow, you mean they're from the 70's or 80's". Now I really feel old!

Its pretty funny, when you see yourself thru the eyes of the very young. We're ancients to them !

Reminds me of a story from when I was in medical school, around 1980.

A group of us were going out to a bar in the University area. They seemed to check IDs only on those who looked old enough to pass. So, the guy (kid) asks me for my ID, looks and exclaims "Wow, you were born in the 50s!"

Yup...I love the look in my kids eyes when I make up some BS story/history about a particular coin. Keeps em comin' backimage
What is money, in reality, but dirty pieces of paper and metal upon which privilege is stamped?
