Appreciation to some folks

I really wouldn't like to post this here, as more people think I am nothing but a "troll", but there are most people for the main part are real helpful.

Thursday June 17, 2004 11:38 PM (NEW!)

I wanted to give a list of my favorite forum members and why:

1) Xpipe: Your a real friendly person, and I like greyhounds too, does your dog like ferrets?
2) Russ: Russ, you seem to have alot of knowledge, and humor, which is good. Although I disagree with you on some things, you always manage to reply to my PM's , Thanks
3) LordMar (AKA "The holy man" ) Thanks for the discount on the gold fanam, and that extra gold coloured coin you included. PS I like your signature!
4) Neptune: You're a real caring person, and I like that. I also love the story about your bull, it's a entertaining story to read. May the legend live on
5) Frattlaw
6) Spinaker2000
7) Ddbird.
8) Ss350camaro. (Please turn on your PM thing)
9) LucyBop
10) ealandg
11) Loanshark
12) Aethelred. Thanks for that ANACS coin, I managed to not break it image

.. and to everyone else who has helped me. You know who you are ..

May all the members above be recognized for their kindness, compassionness and will.

To keep this friendly, please post how you've helped a YN (Young nuministic, or coin collector) in the past.

GCL, you make our heads spin sometimes but you're definitely not the worst troll we've had around. (Only a semi-troll, LOL). image

Usually you've been a good sport about it when you got bashed. As long as you're willing to learn, and don't drive people too crazy, I guess you're welcome around here, at least from where I sit.

Thanks for puttin' me on your list.

Don't lose the little fanam- I'm not as accident-prone as you are, and yet I managed to lose one, once! I dropped it in the Olde Dead King's castle, as a matter o' fact. Lost it while sitting on the couch in the living room (took it out of the flip- dumb, dumb, dumb). Dropped it and it was gone. Poof. We turned that couch upside down and searched through all the springs and everything. No fanam.

About a year later, I think it was, Aethelred or his queen was sweeping the floor in their kitchen, when the fanam reappeared. How it got from the living room couch to the dustbunnies under their 'fridge is anybody's guess. At least it had a happy ending and I have another a boring story to tell. image

BTW, I was considered a pest and a semi-troll on the eBay coin forums when I was a newbie there (about a year before I came here). While I doubt I was ever as annoying as you, image I got flamed a little and got my feelings hurt. But I learned to read a little more and post a little less. Though I was already a pretty well seasoned numismatist when I was there, I learned a lot from those folks, and some of them have moved over here. (These forums are a good place if you are a longwinded poster like I am- there are so many threads and members that you can chat endlessly). Learn to chat a little less and read a little more, though.

If you were a real troll, you wouldn't be as quick to admit your mistakes, and you certainly wouldn't apologize for them. You might have annoyed a few folks around here past the point of no return, but as far as you are concerned in my book, all past trollishness is forgiven.

So are you goin' off to that Reality Ranch thing? If you do, you can tell us about it upon your return.
