Submissions...

Hi David,

I am getting ready to begin submitting my coins to PCGS for grading, and I have a couple of questions...

1) When submitting coins in Mint sets, is it better to remove the coins from the cellophane and put them in flips, or leave them in the mint package?

2) Same thing with the Proof sets...Should I leave them in the mint holders, or break them out and put in flips.

3) Since you require that we pay the Shipping and Insurance, both ways, up front, How do we arrive at a figure without knowing what the grade, therfore the final value, will be?

Thanks for your help.

    Hi Ernie,

    1. It is better to put them in flips...preferably mylar, non PVC flips.

    2. Put them in flips

    3. Figure them at PR69DCAM for modern proofs (1980 to date)...or check the PCGS Price Guide.

    Thanks,

    David
