He brought it in and showed it to me. It was Good, with no apparent problems at all. It sure hadn't been circulating all this time.

MIght have been put in circulation by a collector who wanted to salt the coinage with some vintage stuff.

I dropped about 15 dateless buffalos in a soda machine at work a few years ago. Boy the stories were rolling for days afterwards.

These aren't old, but I've been seeing 1999 state quarters in mint state and almost flawless with orange rims showing up lately. I'm guessing hoards are now being spent since people aren't seeing the value of them moving.

I found an 1895 Indian in change about 3 or 4 months ago. It is about VF condition and very nice. It was my best "change" find ever. That is such a coincidence that someone else would find the same 100+ year old coin that I did.
