Primo!! What's the "Weighted GPA" and how is that different from the "Set Rating"?

Why not? There's no shame in finishing second, or even below that. Most of my sets are currently wallowing in 3rd, with a total of 3 participants image

I think the key word was "compete". Yes, feel free to participate in that set, but don't plan to "compete", or you will be disappointed.image

The "weighted gpa" is the average weighted grade of the coins. The set rating is the weighted gpa multiplied by the percentage complete.
  • wow nice set!
  • This set is for sale in the Oct 2005 Torex auction.

Yes, I noticed...unfortunately the total price for the set would be over $125K if it sells for the estimate. How do you think it will do?
  • The estimates seem reasonable. Guess it will depend on how many bidders come with their pockets full of cash.
  • I am dreaming to have such great collection.

    Very Very Nice......Congrats.
  • How much do you think he'd pay for the 1917 in MS68? It's the only top pop he doesn't have.
Everything I write is my opinion.

    Looking for alot of crap.

Also needs the 1919 top pop coin.

All this talk about "top pops" reminds me of beer cans.

Shiroh, surely you are too young to remember the pull tabs on beer and pop (soda) cans. image

I can remember back when we didn't even have pull tabs or cans. We used to drink out of bottles with corks in 'em. Course you had to get the cork out to drink from one...

And we didn't have no fancy "cola." All we had was sarsparilla, and we were thankful to have it...

    $125K Canadian, that's like $200 US right?
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

  • $125K Canadian, that's like $200 US right?

Wow, MadMarty manages to offend me. Take that back, you should know better. image

Hmmm, now that you put it into that perspective image

Anyone totalled the final hammer prices yet? I was there for session 2 (tokens, cents, and 5 cents) but not session 3 whee this set was sold.

I haven't got the prices realized. But I heard that most of it went above estimate.
