<< <i>Which remark? I'm trying to figure out which one made you mad? Seriously. I never meant any of it to be a personal insult. Just one dude rippin' on another. It's all in fun. >>
Which remark??? I put the first word of the sentence in quotation marks earlier.
I don't really see the problem with one picture and line of text or so. It's just the people that have 5 pictures and a novel in their sig line. In this thread, BBN and Lucy have the pictures that are fairly big, but the thing is they are in black&white and weigh in at no more than a couple of avatars KB wise. Short of someone using a 28.8, I can't see anyone having difficulty loading those pictures quickly.
<< <i>I had added the pic of my '69 Camaro from request of several forum members that wanted to see it. The "ooo's and ahh's" have worn off so it was probably time to remove it anyway. >>
That's the problem with sig pictures. They're mildly clever and/or interesting the first few times you see it, but after 20 or 30 goes they just become annoying.
And if they're big, especially vertically, they're especially annoying. It's not the bandwidth that bugs me; I got broadband. It's the screen real estate. Lucy, you're a doll and all, but I really don't like your picture taking up 1/3 of my monitor every time you post. The worst recently was the guy posting the rock star picture (Sammy Hagar?) -- gad that's annoying.
Pity there's no customization option to get rid of just sig pictures -- from the looks of it it's all or nothing. For my part, I'll never put a picture in my sig, unless I'm doing it specifically to annoy people.
Just so you know Woodie my sig line, (which is 200X310), is less than the 200 X 400 pixels standards set by CU, thanks to Bill, (cosmicdebris), are I would have my complete set of Walkers for you to stare at!
Unfortunately there are alot of people here on the forum that doesn't know CU has a standard for size of sig lines...... BTW..... I ahve the slowest dial up of anyone here because of where I live here in Puckyhuddle.
mark got spanked for his and now he wants to spread the wealth...a simple pm works in case ya didnt know mark.
someday he will grow up
and for those with small pda's and dialup, I apologize because I had never thought of it, and I myself would be botherd if I wasnt a tech guy with all high end equipment and connections. Its facinateing what one could miss once spoiled.
edited to say: maybe I need to go back to a 14.4 modem for penance
I thought I was very polite about it. I havn't had a sig photo in a long time, and it was smaller than was allowed. I posted this as a thread so that you would see that I wasn't the only one who found it tiresome to scroll past your sigline.
I took out my sig photo because I wanted too, no one asked me to. Surely you must realize you were overdoing it?
but people like you just never get a clue unless someone rubs their nose in it.
like i said...pure baby.
mark you need a time out.

Read again: and for those with small pda's and dialup, I apologize because I had never thought of it, and I myself would be botherd if I wasnt a tech guy with all high end equipment and connections. Its facinateing what one could miss once spoiled. I haven’t seen a slow loading/moving screen in years, its very easy to forget what its like to have to deal with one.
I wont address this again, if your mad because you got lambasted for doing so, then you need to get a life and a clue.
You know, I seem to have just read a post today where you insulted people a lot worse than you insulted me. Perhaps it is you who need to grow. You were so willing to attack the attackers in that other thread. You showed your true colors there quite nicely.
picture lambasting and calling a newbie a liar because he has better stuff than you is 2 dif things..you'll learn that when you progress to second grade.
Bill and Mark! Don't make me come back there! I'll turn this car right around...
New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
I didn't lambast the newbie, nor did I jump on the wrong doers like they were wounded animals waiting to be torn to shreds like you did. I've always tried to be out in the open. You got your feelings hurt, I'm sorry, that wasn't my intention. I didn't even mention or add your name to the title for a while because I figured you would see the thread.
my feelings arnt hurt, ive known ya a long time...all ya had to do was ask, im not a hard guy to deal with...I seriously forgot what it was like to be on dialup or slow connection or whatever...i admit im spoiled in that arena...and only that arena..as for moog what was done to him was uncalled for period, and I stand behind that to remind all that participated that its not funny at all.

Don't make me bring back the bouncy anime girl. I'll do it, really I will.
I want you to bring back the bouncing anime girl. I don't know why, but I found that one fascinating... So, there's my vote...
