End of a life long friend, comrad, and pal.

Well, my 10x loupe I got from spinaker2000 (And the only one I had) died today. He was around 3 months old. He was made by the folks at compass. I always had him in my wallet, but recently when I checked my wallet he had fallen apart, with one of his lens split. It happened to be the first gift I ever got from any forum member, so it means alot to me. May you Rest In Peace, funeral plans will be arranged soon. Poem coming soon..

  • Yeah, loupes are not made to go in your wallet and be sat upon....... hey GCL, do us a little favor... when you go off to Reality Ranch... please... grow up a little bit and learn some common sense. I have friends younger than you, that act a whole lot more mature than you seem to on these forums...

I never sat on it. I was trying to put some humor in my posts for once, I guess I shouldn't do that..

A bit melodramatic, aren't we? Well, boot camp will likely stomp out that sissy attitude. image

  • I have a few loupes and one is certainly my favorite. I purchased it from a fellow collector/friend who passed away last year. One of the finest men that I have had the opportunity to meet in my years online. He had heart surgery and never woke up. So this loupe and a few books that I purchased from him are near and dear to my heart. I use the loupe daily and when it goes to loupe heaven I will be a sad collector. I could save it and not use it but I like using it. It makes me think of Larry daily image

Here, Here Russ. "Cheers" The boy has got to get a set and grow up. Reality Camp, I believe, was the proper place for his parents to send him this summer. It should provide him with a life long education.

I am not capping on this kid, but as I lurk and here the whinney little attitude from an immature 16 year old, it makes me sick. 2 months after I turned 17, a rifle was thrown into my chess and at will was ordered to kill people.

We have soldiers just a few years older than this sissy dying daily for our freedom.

My suggestion to you young man is:
#1, spend some time OFF the computer, Get some sunlight,
#2 Appreciate what your parent are trying to do for you, which is all to obvious.
#3 Stop your complaining and start appreciating what you do have.
#4 And most importantly - Grow Up, you sound like a little snoot nosed punk.

I'd rather scoop up a bag of popcorn and watch Walt put GCL through the paces.........whooo-rah style instead of this wanna-be camp.

Well, let's have a vote.......what are you looking MORE forward to?
    a) not reading GCL's posts for 6 weeks
    b) reading GCL's posts when he gets back from reality school

What did you do, throw a tantrum and fling at your mother?
