to Joe Orlando, from a paying customer.

HIRE SOME MORE PEOPLE, PLEASE ! YOUR SET REGISTRY PEOPLE ARE BEING OVERLOADED !

the key word, in any conversation you have with customer service is, "WAIT"

wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, etc....................................................................................................................................................

this is not a condemnation of the current personal. this is a result of too much, too quick, too little help.

psa is the #1 grading co. out there. i`m more than satisfied with the product, but performance is, well underfunded !

remember; too whom much is given, much will be expected !

Patience. PSA is doing the best they can. I am sure it is not their choice to make us wait. A simple e-mail to Joe would probably go further. We are not paying them to maintain the set Registry. This is an added bonus for being a customer.

Additions to existing sets have been taking approximately 24 hours. Not bad at all.

New sets have been taking longer, but if you provide spreadsheet with weighting, I find that BJ responds by email in two days and will get around to adding the new sets it in about a week.

Adding cards to existing player set registries have been taking a long time. I understand they are quite backed up here.

Overall, I think BJ is doing a wonderful job. Keep up the good work!!!

Ditto here; 24 hour turnaround on set adds is what I've come to expect. If BJ is the party responsible, kudos for sure to BJ!image

    koby,
bj IS doing a great job, but her workload with the registry has grown greatly.
as has the set registry in general.

a new set that i just talked with her about, i was told that they would try to get it added by the end of the year !

when i offered my help, i was told it will have to wait, as we have other priorities.

and additions to sets is at an all time high in waiting.

so maybe your alittle out of touch.

Maybe. But I am just telling you about the additions to my existing sets and my new sets adding the last two months. Sorry if your additions are taking longer. I'm not trying to belittle your legitimate concerns, my friend.

Koby is right in that the it takes only one day to add cards. I find that amazing in light of the number of sets on the PSA registry.

  • Thanks for the note:

    Two quick things:

    1) It is much easier and more efficient to email me directly if you have an issue - I do not usually have time to look through the boards and I do answer emails fairly regulary - joe@collectors.com.

    2) The problem is not about people actually - we are re-working the programming so we can load sets, create sets, update sets, etc. much, much faster than we can currently. This should be completed within the next 3-4 weeks - approximately. Our system just needs to updating and improvement - we are on it for sure with all the great support on the Registry. There are just so many requests - it's a good thing!

    Take care,

when i speak of additions to a set, i`m talking about cards that are not listed in the current set composition.

and please reread my message, i clearly state, "this is not a condemnation of current personal" that includes bj

this is not a bash bj thread. its more about getting bj some help !

geez, i like psa, i like bj, i do not have a problem with any person at psa.

I"ll backup speeder.. he's right that the time limit to add NEW cards to Player Sets has gone from 6 weeks on my first request, and on my last request I think it was 10 weeks..

I'll back up Joe on this one. If they are reprogramming how the sets are compiled, maintained and updated, there will obviously be many rounds of testing and bugs to work out. Maybe we should give them the benefit of the doubt that once the programming is nailed down, the current personnel will be more than enough to keep things running efficiently.
  • joe,
thank you for that info. i will keep in mind what you mentioned about contacting you direct. i`m not going anywhere, the psa registry is a blast. and just for the record you will never see me degrade or bad mouth any psa personal on this board. not my style.

matter of fact, sorry koby, i feel i was alittle short with you. sorry.

  • Sorry for the double post.

Just want to thank Cosetta and BJ for adding my Ozzie cards and putting up the STL cardinals HOF set registry up so quickly! You guys are doing great for how busy you are.

Since when? I've been waiting for some additions to the Chris Webber Master set for months now.

And PSA loves the set registry as much as we do. Where else can you get people to pay insane amounts of money for commons?

Edited to add: Oops, just reread Koby's message and agree with him on it now. Player sets have been totally horrible.
