Thoughts about 2005 Topps Heritage

Yes, another Heritage thread. I just completed my 2004 Heritage set (and big ups to Stone for the assist on the last 3 cards). It's actually the first one I've completed. I'm still about 30 SPs short of the 2001 set and didn't try the 2002 and 2003. Naturally, I'm waiting with great anticipation for next year's set and I'm wondering what it will be like. I think they will skip the 1956 set, and go straight to the super-popular 1957 version. I think this for 2 reasons.
First, Topps' history in these reprint sets is not one of great linearity. When they did the first Archives set in 1991, they started with the 1953 set. Then the next year they did the 1954. Then instead of going to 1955, they did a "Boys of Summer" set with all 50's Dodger cards. That was the last such set.
Second, I don't think they'll do two horizontal sets in a row. I know they know that hobby reaction to the set has been strong, but I also think that they'll think that the market will get bored/scared off by 2 similar looking sets in a row, and it won't sell as well. Naturally, I exclude the members of this learned body. Personally, I like the '56 design with the full background paintings more than the figures-floating-in-Jello-void '55s, but that's just me. They'd look fine together.
Plus, the '56 set is less popular than the '57 set. This is probably owing more to the presence of big rookies in the '57s, plus the nice photographic process and the standard size than anything wrong with the '56 set, but that's how it is. So I think they'll jump a year and go into '57. That's fine. I would like an extra year to clear out my current wantlist as I intend to build a set of the black bordered chromes (or whatever the scarce parallel will be that year) when the '57 set does come out., but next year is fine, too.
What do you think, will they keep going in order? Will they start skipping around? Should they do either?
