    I don't have the book in front of me, so this might not be the exact title...but Joe Orlando's book "The Top 200 Sportscards In The Hobby" is a pretty good read. Very basic, but nice history of the most popular cards, especially written from a grading perspective. I got my copy when I first joined PSA, there might be a newer version out by now...
