You can try this viewer, this will at least let you view the files this guy created. You could create the same, or similar functionality in a web page, an access database or just a word document. you just wouldn't have the calculations (%complete, avg grade etc)

Otherwise, you can buy just excel 2000 [url=http://www.pricegrabber.com/search_getprod.php?masterid=2953&mode=googlesw]Here[/url] for $179. You might be better off just picking up a copy of office or excel off ebay. I might even have my old copy laying around the house that you could have. I use office 2k3 now.

You can also save Microsoft Works spreadsheets in Excel format now or import Excel spreadsheets to Works . Works is much cheaper than Excel and works fine for me.
