New Football Beckett

Just got back from the store and picked up the new Beckett. I was somewhat surprised to see GAI listed graded cards. In particular the Dorsett and Montana had pricing for GAI graded. Does Beckett Baseball and Basketball do this? Just something of interest..

  • Chad- I wouldn't be surprised if Beckett highlighted a few GAI sales. In the past they would have lumped them into the "other graders" category. As GAI has garnered more of a following it makes sense to break them out of the "other/PRO/GEM/FGS" group. I get a kick when they highlight a BCCG sale though.

yeah.. I saw that the highlighted a BCCG 10 1980 Topps Rickey Henderson that sold for $180?!? As somebody that follows Henderson cards closely, I find that hard to believe, although I'm sure its true..

edited to say - every time I see a post by Cspeier, I think of the baseball player "Chris Speiers" (SF Giants i think?).. =)

  • What was really cool was I lived in Denver for about 10 years. Justin Speier pitched for the Rockies a couple of years. DON'T THINK I DIDN'T TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THAT!!! Just so happens I met my wife in a Bar across the street from Coors field.. She had no clue who Justin Speier was.
