1955 TOPPS ALL AMERICANS ..... ON FIRE!!

Wow!!
I am absolutely AMAZED at the sales realized prices that 1955 Topps All Americans are bringing in right now.
It is nothing for certain HIGH GRADE RARE cards to be selling for 3X to 5X over SMR.

Skinsfan has some of the sharpest 55 Topps AA in the UNIVERSE up for auction as we speak.
Certainly worth checking out.....as there are some absolute BLAZERS!!

I had a nice high grade set of the 55's that I sold earlier this year.
Had owned it for over 15 years.
Seems as if I might have sold mine about six months too early.

What a DEMAND SET!!

    Murcer,
I looked on the 55 Topps AA registry and didn't see anything listed under your name.
I thought I had at one time??
Send me a list of your PSA 8's & 9's and we'll talk.

  • Mucer that might be a good deal i will take almost any nine you have and many low pops for your 2x smr.

The smr is a joke on this set.worst of any football issue i know of.

Out of the 80 cards i had up over 10 have sold already with many writing me asking about buying them off ebay.

Ask any of the big time aa collecters about prices for the bulk of the set not just low pops and see how far off smr is.

by the way Murcer i sent a pm to you about that 62 skin still waiting to hear from you.

Mojo thanks for the plug and even if your not looking to buy but are a football fan yes the are worth checking out for sure. The four horsemen is a stunner the best i have ever seen

mucer i will go a step futer if you have a wojo, oostabann, foldberg, sink, warburton just to name a few ill give you 3 times smr

    Now Art,
Don't be offering Murcer 3X's SMR for those 55 Topps AA cards when he already offered them to me at 2X.
    Or did he??
Still waiting for your email Murcer on those cards, but I'm not holding my breath.

Also Art, you must realize that when emailing Murcer there is a normal 5 to 6 business day turn around time for getting a response, that is if you are lucky enough get one at all.
That turn around time does not enclude major holiday's like Old Dutch's Special Tribute this past Friday.
Yo see Murcer is just TOO BUSY to respond to email's in a timely manner unless it benefits him, as he is hard at work composing his 15-20 one liner CU posts per day.
Hey It ain't easy making 20 posts a day here on these boards, especially when each one has to be a one liner, mildly witty and of course edited.
What do you think Murcer got nothing but time on his hands??
Do you think that Murcer's life isn't full or something??

Just Bustin Ya, a little......... Dave. image
    All in fun.

  • WOW! AA's are hot. I'm putting my snipes in now at exactly 4x SMR. I sure hope nobody outbids me because they are going up up up.
  • Mojo:

Are you also working on a set? What kind of grades are you doing your in?

I am in the process of having my set looked at by a couple people.

I might also consider the possibility of breaking it up as well. You never know what will happen if you get the right price.

Drop me an email sometime, or let me know what your email is.

    Thanks

    Art and/or Rob

Do you have #'s: 28 Mel Hein, #56 Ernie Nevers, #84 Ace Parker, #97 Don Hutson, or #100 Fats Henry? I still need those in a PSA 8.... and wouldn't mind seeing some prices on those. (not those crazy prices mentioned above, of course) ... but some friendly "fellow football collector" prices.

PM or e-mail me if you've got them.

  • Mike:

I have all of them, but I am still not over the fence on breaking my set up yet.

Furthermore, if I were to break it up the prices I put cards at would be the above thought price area.

If you want to, drop me an email and let me know what would be your idea of decent prices for those cards.

    Hey Rob,
    My email address is: robinson209@comcast.net
I don't really collect the issue now, as I sold my long time set in early January to my younger brother
    who is an investment banker.
He seems to have had impecciable timing as far as his purchase.
He knows absolutely nothing about cards, but bought the set strictly as an investment.
I would say he has done pretty well on it so far.
That figures, I own the set for 15 years and follow this stuff pretty closely.
He buys the set on a whim and in a couple months time........it soars in value.
I guess that is why he's the Investment Banker and I'm not!! image

  • Well, another of Art's cards bites the dust.

Way to go Art. You da man.

Mojo, email sent. Let me know if you got it all right.
