1926-D Buffalo Nickel PCGS MS 66 - does anyone recall a rainbow toned one with a great strike being auctioned off recently?

I always keep an eye out for one of those, pop 15/1. The last one I saw was this one LINK. Maybe two out of three. Sorry couldn't help more.
I sold one two yrs ago and well you know the story wished I haden't. I've been looking hard for that same coin ever since.
As far as the ms 65 that SHAMIKA is referring to that's not it
I just had ANR send that coin to me for veiwing and even though it has an ms 66 strike it dosen't have the rainbow toning your looking for.
PS. let me know if you find one.
I think I found one but this can't be it, their asking $16,000 for it. Still interested?
By the way, Caitlin, is your name a reference to the author (and illustrator?) from the 1800s who wrote extensively about the Indians of North America?
1926-d ms-66 Toned Buffalo Nickel? If your coin is still available I'd love to see an image.
Rainbow.
Poorguy -- with regard to you lightening the images -- cool. Looks better.
Here's a fun theoretical - with a strike like that - but say, it had just enough wear to make it an AU-55 - what should that particular AU-55 be priced at? Would the savvy buyer want such an AU-55, vs. the typically mushy, technically UNC '26-D?
Of course, you could get BOTH. Find a nice MS piece and then get a great strike in AU58. The problem with the latter is that Buffs (as well as other coins from the early 20th century) are VERY hard to find in nice AU condition...let alone a well struck 26-D.
