What is it? It appears to be hand cut and has no writing on the back.

Thanks for any help.

That would be a hand cut, blank back of Lu Blue ... played 1st base for the Detroit Americans
He was cut from the team in mid season because his right leg was shorter than his left leg, and he always had to stand like that.

    Hope this helps! image

It looks very much like 1922 E120 American Caramels but the figures in the corners of the border are different from example shown in my book. Lu Blue was in that set. Maybe borders varied from card to card?

I can't find this one - it is blank backed which is not usually what you would see with a food issue e.g. - since they want to advertise - having said that, I do have a bunch of Yuenglings ice cream that are blank backed which is not usually the case.
BTW, Luzerne A. Blue didn't have that bad of a career - played first base with the Tigers, Browns, White Sox and Dodgers and had a career BA of 287 - other stats like fielding, OBP etc. are respectable.
I'm hoping that a specialist in cards from this era will step up - his career started in 1921 and ran for 13 seasons.
