What should I do???

I bought this itemPSA Lot

The dealer failed to mention that 2 of the higher $$ cards had qualifiers...

Here's what I wrote them:

Hi,

I received this item today and was very disapointed. 2 of the cards in the lot were not as described. First of all the 1971 Steve DeLong was not a PSA 8, but a PSA 8 (ST) and the 1963 fleer was not a PSA 7 but a PSA 7(ST). The scan in your photo shows no evidence that either of these cards have qualifiers. I feel that you auction was very misleading by not mentioning this.

Please let me know what you can do to resolve this.

Thank You,
Ryan

    you spent 17.99.
if you dont get a refund for the misstated cards
chalk it up to experience, leave negative feedback
    and move onward.

While he should have stated they had qualifiers, you can see in the pic that the 2 end cards both have qualifiers. Although, they may stand out more because we know they have them. <shrug>

I have to agree though, for $18 it wasn't a bad deal and if he won't offer a refund, chalk it up to experience. Never a good thing when you are disappointed though. Without the pics I would say you have a really good argument, but with the pics... it's a judgment call.

Let us know what he says.

Figure out what those qualifiers mean to you in $ terms and ask the seller for it.

They offerd to give me a $5 refund in Paypal or credit. Is this fair?
  • $18 purchase price + $5 shipping = $23.00
    8 cards for $23 = $2.88 per card

    $23 - $5 refund = $18
    6 cards for $18 = $3.00 per card (plus 2 qualified cards)

    Seems fair to me.

    take it & run..............
Successful dealings with Wcsportscards94558, EagleEyeKid, SamsGirl214, Volver, DwayneDrain, Oaksey25, Griffins, Cardfan07, Etc.
  • I also think it's fair. But if it were me and I failed to describe them properly, they'd take my $5.00 and STILL leave negetive feedback or at least neutral.. Be the bigger person and accept and then forget!

I think I will leave them a postive anyways, jut because they were willing to work out the problem.

no way would I neg him.. not a chance.. i DO think the picture showed what you were getting.. the seller shouldve said the cards had qualifiers, but questions should ALWAYS be asked by the buyer.. and in my descriptions, i say "Please examine the scans closely".. (even though I would say if a card had a qualifier)..

  • I must clarify, I WOULDN"T leave neg feedback. If I tried to work something out with a buyer, I'm saying with my luck I'd still get neg or neutral feedback. I think both parties are doing the correct thing..
