I used Buy It Now for $480 on Ebay. I may have paid a bit more than I could have, but it was a reputable dealer. By far the most I have ever spent on any wax. I have terrible luck too. I should receive it in a few days. I will post my results once I find out. Please pray for me. I might just open it on the crapper in case I do pull a nice Jordan or Lebron....

Roach, I wish you luck...I haven't had much luck with this year's Ultimate Collection basketball, but I admit, it is tough to resist trying a box or two. There are some incredible cards to be had, hopefully you get one or two in your box.

I am going to stop at the local money pit on my way home and see if they have it out yet. If they do and they have it at $500, I'll buy a pack. But knowing the guy who sets the prices it will be out at $599. This chowderhead still has ultimate at $798/box. He's such a schlep. And they have 9 local stores!!!! If it's 5 bills I'll buy it though, I get my VIP 15% off so that's only 425. One box though. that's it.

well, then maybe another one next month.

Well written reply man. I really would love that second possibility. Another thought would be to just hold onto the box and allow all of the cards to surface here and there. As long as there are some of the bigger cards still not discovered, the values of the unopened boxes will increase because the odds of pulling them is better now. It is a possibility with this product, because their is not a whole lot of boxes, period!

Of course, I will open the box the minute it arrives though. I will go on record as saying that I never pulled anything even remotely good back in my wax opening days. No 1/1's, Platinums, Autographics ( good ones ), etc.. Even when I pulled a RC out of an SP or Contenders product, it was usually a bum.

Dang it.... Local shop got it in, putting it out at $500, so I'll get it at 425. If anyone wants to send me $$$ to buy them a box, I'd be happy to do it. I am going to look for a box with 2 stickers on it, that seems to be the "hit" box according to some posts on other boards I've seen, so we'll see if it holds true. Maybe I'll buy three boxes and keep ripping til I hit... The shop closest to me is only getting three. The ones on the way home got 9 and 6 each. I am excited to rip this...

Best of luck Roach, I'm pulling for scenario #2 also. Sorry, but I won't be heading to Chicago this time, the store is an absolute mess as always and I've vowed to clean it up and get everything organized before falling further behind by travelling cross country for more shows.

That's a great deal envoy for $425. Factory direct was about $328 if I remember correctly. I just got my case in, and I hope they sell quickly so that I won't keep looking over my left shoulder about ten feet and wonderring what I would get if I opened one (oh the temptation of this job). The last high dollar product I had sitting around was SP Game Used Patch Baseball and I opened one, got a Matsui #5/10 AUTO dual Patch that I got $580 for on ebay a few weeks ago.

I'm starting a VIP card program at my shop too where you'll get 10% in free wax with the card, which I've been doing for my better customers the majority of the time anyways, but now they'll know that they get it every time they come in.

I'm hoping they let me use my 15% off... They give it out by "invite" only so to speak. Anyone can buy a 10% off card for $20, it got the point they used to just give those to me, now they put me on the 15% off list since I spend a mortgage payment a month in that place. I thought the 10% card for $20 was a smoking deal anyway. Buy one box of high end product and you pretty much pay for it. With all the wax I buy and rip, it's a no brainer. THis 15% off is really going to pay off now too. They have it at $500/box and DACardworld has it at $520. So I think I'll open the "2 sticker" box, see how I do. If I do well, I'll put the others on ebay. The problem with the stores here is that they don't get a case, or 3 cases full. They get a case worth, so with Ultimate Collection for example, if they had 4 packs out, it didn't mean each one was 1 of the 4 cards, it was possible for you to hit 3 jerseys for example. Thats the bad part. So hopefully we don't realize there is 1/case and chase it at one store, cuz it never works out that way. At least not at Shinder's.

I think I"ll pick up 3 boxes and just hang on to 2 of them for a while... what do you all think? I could probably make a few $$$/box on them. This happens to be one of the rare times that Scott (the price god) has opened a product at SRP. I was expecting to see it at 550-599, specifically because he knows the 15% off people are going to be the people buying that kind of product.
