Am I Missing Something?

Can anyone tell me how they can identify this card as an OPC rather than a regular Topps issue without the back of the card? I believe there is a difference in the paper stock, but I am unfamilar with any other difference besides the back of the card. Just an auction that captured my curiousity.
Thanks,
Mike

I figured I'd answer your question, rather than give you answers to questions you didnt ask.. I figured if you asked the question, then it must "matter"..
edited to say CON40 beat me to it..
<< <i>MS is correct... that is definitely a sheet cut card. But, the stock is noticeably brighter than the old Topps "chipboard" stock. So, it's an OPC. Just not a legit single card. Beckett has earned quite the negative rep for grading vintage sheet cut OPC hockey and baseball cards. I've been burned myself a couple times on old Nolan Ryan OPCs slabbed by Beckett. Hard to see it in an auction, but if you held the card in your hand, there'd be no doubt in your mind. The cards are generally slightly oversized and have a very noticeable curve to them. >>
ooops.. CON40 beat me to it!
What is the provenance of that card? Is it some kind of test run that is officially catalogued? Or is it just a "freak" of production? I ask because as a Ryan guy, I have never seen, or read, of such a Ryan card in existence. Might be something to add to the info pile (already heaping over with too much junk info by the way!). Thanks!

No freaking clue. Found it on Ebay, already graded by SGC, a few years ago. I imagine it was just a freak of production - but it had to be at least one (or more) sheets of such. I like it simply because it is weird and probably was distributed. The card has a lot of wear on it (hence the grade...), so I fully believe it was distributed that way - but it's the only thing I've ever seen like it.
