Registry Question

I'm curious.. I've seen some sets were the owner has listed 1/2 graded PSA 9, or 14 graded-NONE higher, etc. I'm getting ready to add comments and pictures to my set. My question is, do you also incude cards with qualifiers? Like if you have a PSA 9 that has 5 graded 9 and 2 graded 9Q-do you consider it 7 total? I know dumb question.. Thanks Guys

  • I wouldn't count the 9Q's. As far as the registry is concerned, the 9Q=7 so it doesn't have the same set value. I, personally, don't put stats like that because it seems like a pain trying to keep up with the pop report in that regard. I can see where that info might boost the sale of a card though.
    Registry Sets:
    T-205 Gold PSA 4 & up
    1967 Topps BB PSA 8 & up
    1975 Topps BB PSA 9 & up
    1959 Topps FB PSA 8 & up
    1976 Topps FB PSA 9 & up
    1981 Topps FB PSA 10
    1976-77 Topps BK PSA 9 & up
    1988-89 Fleer BK PSA 10
3,000 Hit Club RC PSA 5 & Up

  • Clearly for the reasons mentioned 9Q's don't count.
Just keep the 9 NQ and the 10's if you want to mention the pop. Does seem like it could create a lot of work to keep up with especially if the set was popular.

The PCGS coin registry keeps track of pop and pop higher automatically.

    example

I wish they would do the same for the PSA registry.

Joe- me, too, I think that is a very cool feature. I guess the coin guys, who spend much more than we do, get more resources thrown their way.

Personally - I just wish they would update the Schmidt Master Registry with the request I sent them on March 16!
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.
  • That PCGS is cool. I know it's a lot of work. I really never paid much attention to it until I started looking. I found I had some of the only graded issues for that card. I thought that was cool, just something else to mess with. Thanks for the output..

That is a cool feature, I had never seen the coin registry before. Maybe when PSA updates the registry, this is something that could be added.
