Bowman Uncirculated redemption cards

I picked up a few of these (unredeemed) cards from 2002 Bowman and Bowman Chrome products this weekend. All had expired, according to the dates posted on them. [Before you wonder why I was buying expired redemption cards, note that these came wrapped in foil pack-style wrappers, which were still sealed - and the dealer didn't remember exactly what the cards were in those wrappers.] Topps/The Pit will not honor these cards past their expiration date (which was approximately 1 year after issue). Now for the bad news: Every card that was not redeemed by the expiration date went into The Pit's general inventory, so that there was no decrease in the amount of cards available; they just own them rather than you.
