    Lee;

    I'm not Scott, but I think I can answer your question as I guess it's in regard to the protocol we are establishing with the Ryan Master Set. Scott is working on a complete checklist of Ryan cards minus the issues we voted not to include (Star, Pacific, Comic ball, etc.). Once the new checklist is created and weighted, the NRMS guys will submit it to BJ to create a new, and final, Ryan checklist. No cards will be permiotted to be added to it. Now, if someone unearths a worthy candidate that hasn't been "banned", hopefully it's inclusion will be presented to the set members before a request goes to BJ.

    Hope this helps until we hear definitively from Scott!

    Alright-looks like the path has been lit for us. Thanks for the feedback on your struggles to get the set right!

  • Sorry,

    I'm trying to do as much work as possible here to avoid being terminated. I'm actually considering putting lambs blood on my cube wall. image

    I haven't had as much time to check posts lately.

    Keith is the exactly right on what we (NR Collectors) are doing, actually he started it and he is the godfather of the NR sets. image

    This weekend I think I'll have some time to finish my proposed card weights and pass the checklist on to Keith. The hope is that all NR Set Collectors will have a say in the look of the Nolan Ryan Master set, and only the agreed upon changes will take place. Then those changes will go to BJ and be implented when they have time to do it.

    Now the theory here is that we will have compiled as complete a list as possible to retool the Nolan Ryan Master set, subsets that would get out of hand (ie. Pacific, Star, etc.) will only include the first card from the set. There really shouldn't end up being many cards left that someone would want to enter. In the case of the (Pacific, Star, etc ) sets a separate set would be created if someone wanted to indulge in collecting and grading those cards.

    Example: Someone has money to blow and wants to grade Pacific Nolan Ryan cards.

    BJ would create a Nolan Ryan Pacific set to accomidate them. That way the Master set would not be impacted.

    Hope this is useful,

    Scott Jeanblanc
