What happened to Davalillo's thread?

Why was it deleted?

Perhaps Orlando didn't like Davalillo "infiltrating" our boards again through other board members ;-)

Wonder if GoSoxBoSox made the cut? Or was he a victim of the old adage -- "Kill the messenger."

I think for his own good, Jim needs to network himself by e-mail from now on.

I still don't understand why PSA deleted his thread? What was wrong about it? All he did was give us PSA collectors an invitation.

The last I saw of the thread somebody mentioned that toppsgun might be making an appearance so possibly that started some unecessary posting which could have caused the whole thread to get pulled.
  • I'm still here.

  • All,

I just heard from Joe Orlando.

In short, he said the ban on Jim was never lifted as was reported to us in an earlier thread (I think it was by Scott).

Anyway, all messages by Jim or for Jim are banned until Jim decides to clear the air with Joe like an adult. That certainly seems more than fair to me.

Also, I think it is worth saying Joe didn't know the thread was deleted until well after the forum manager had pulled it. It was the managers call, but Joe certainly stand behind it. Since nothing has changed (like the ban being lifted) I certainly can respect Joe's stance on this.

I hope this clears up why the post is gone.

  • He took another shot at Joe in the post. It was uncalled for. I know a few of you disagree with me on this.

I dont expect Dav to act like an adult so I guess he wont be posting here. What Dav needs to do is send a message through his highly credible rumor mill source, MW. That way, MW can send it to Ranch who can either post it or pass it along to Reid from Escondido. Reid is probably in good graces at this point since he is only listing high end PSA cards on EBAY right now with no disclaimers about how PSA really blew the grade or let a trimmed card slip by, etc. Reid is a pretty smart guy and can probably proof read and edit the message before posting it. That way, every sentence wont have an I, me, or my in it.

All in all, the world will be a better place.

Not again. There was no shot. Not in Joe's eye's...just yours. There is just a ban that was never lifted. Period.

I thought that was a really good thread. I was actually happy to finally have a discussion with Jim (privately through email) and clear things up. Again, I'll say that I understand how some have a negative image of Jim from his previous posts. But, I have come to the conclusion that life is too short for this crap. Jim took the time to email me several times and I would love to see him back here posting again. Whenever I get a chance, I will take him up on his offer to visit and view his collection - I'm sure I won't be disappointed.

I've been disenchanted with the message boards in general lately. Jim's posts would be welcome now, although there have been some excellent threads in the past few days.

    Happy Collecting!

    JEB.

Explain that to Jim in one of your notes. Ask him to grow up and work things out with Joe.

  • On June 1, I got this in an email from Jim Crandell: "The exact reason I will not go back on(I have been invited back) is that I
just do not want to put up with the ongoing attacks of *********." I put in the asterisks but I'd imagine most can figure out who it is. I'm completely confused at this point.

I certainly believe you Scott. It seems to be an interpretation issue. Jim probably was invited back (or at least clear the air with Jim) but didn't act on the invitation so is still banned. Anyway, I know Jim is considering the invitation at this point.

Hey, Ronald Reagan died this week. A great man, maybe a hero. Past president, dismantled communism.

Ok, now whats the IMPORTANT issue about this man named Jim and his cards?
