SSP: L@@k!! LordM's Bargain Basement is OPEN!! L@@K!! (lotsa nice cheapies...)

Welcome to my Bargain Basement. Sorry for the hype in the title, but I couldn't resist. image

Hope you'll find some cheap stuff to your liking here. image

Just post here when you want to reserve something (for instance, you would say something like, "I want to reserve #67, 79, 81, 112, and 134," for example. If you post it here instead of PM'ing it to me, I will have an easier time figuring out who had what, and in the event of two or more people chasing the same coin(s), I can award it to the earlier post.

Add a buck for shipping (one time charge, no matter how much you buy- I will cover any additional. If you want insurance, add $1.30).

PayPal's fine. My email address is: rwshinnick@hotmail.com.

If you would rather pay via snailmail, that's OK, too. That address is:

Rob Shinnick
4240 US Hwy 17N, #160
Brunswick, GA, 31525, USA

Oh- and if you have one or two nicer singles to trade for a group of my bulk babies, don't be shy- I'm listenin'! image

143. EXONUMIA: OLD FRENCH ART NOUVEAU STYLE TOKEN, "APPAREILS AUTOMATIQUES". Zinc, both sides identical. Inscription translates as "Automatic Apparatuses", so maybe it is a vending token. The fact that it is zinc makes me suspect the stinkin' Nazi occupiers during WW2.

GROUP B: INDIVIDUALLY-PRICED STUFF (SMALL LOTS):

144. SIX-PIECE LOT, 1949 POLISH COINS: Six-piece mini-type set of the first Polish postwar aluminum coins from 1949, lacking only the 2-grosze piece. These are: 1 grosz BU, 5 groszy AU, 10 groszy AU, 20 groszy VF, 50 groszy AU, and 1 zloty VF. $3.00 takes all six.

145. EIGHT-PIECE LOT, 1972 PHILIPPINE 1-PISO COINS, AU/BU. One lot of eight pieces 1972 Philippines 1-piso coins (KM203). These are goldish-colored copper-nickel coins almost the size of an old US silver dollar, with a bust of Jose Rizal on the obverse and the Philippine Republic arms on the reverse. All are AU+ to BU coins. Most have nice luster, and two or three have pretty pinkish-orange toning. The 2004 Krause books these at $1.25 each in UNC (down from $1.75 in my old 2002 edition). A few might be sliders but most are BU coins. The colorfully-toned ones have pretty pastel iridescence. How about $5.50 for the whole lot of eight pieces, delivered? *phut*

Is anyone interested in 35-cent material, hmm? Even some small silver and oldies in there, too! image

Dave, in response to your question about the 35-cent stuff, there is a whole lot of it. More of it than the stuff listed above. Maybe by the end of the night I will put some of it up. I might only offer it in lots of twenty (i.e., 20 mixed coins, each worth around 35c). Too much hassle to put all those up individually. They are in 2 X 2's and labeled with country/denomination/date, but for obvious reasons, I did not take the time to grade them or put KM#'s and so on.

I'll just shoot a picture of several 20-piece lots, and you folks can pick the lot(s) y'all want, but I can't let you cherrypick individual coins. I will try to put some nice variety in these lots, and sell them for 35 cents or less per coin. I think I will ask $6.50 per page. That's actually a little better than 33 cents a coin, or three for a dollar, which is what I sell 'em at in my coin booth. (32.5 cents per coin, to be precise!) The vinyl page itself won't be included, because I'm out of 'em, but for each $6.50 lot you buy, you will get twenty mixed coins in 2 X 2's. There should be some older dates, some Brit large pennies, some odd-shaped or hole-in-the-middle coins, and I will try to include at least one small silver coin in each 20-pc. lot if I can. These are average circulated, meaning the older coins will be lower grade and might have a problem or two, and the newer coins will generally be higher grade, perhaps UNC. Should be a good value at 32.5 cents a coin, though, particularly as you'll get them all in 2 X 2's.

Edit: that ain't gonna happen tonight, after all. Too tired. I did put together a dozen or more 20-piece lots to sell at $6.50. Will scan 'em later.

    12. BRITISH WEST AFRICA, 1 PENNY, 1940, VF. (Neat looking hole-in-center coin with a Star of David).

It's not the star of David, although it looks a lot like it. I believe it refers to BWA's 5 different states .

It's been mentioned before, (by wybrit or shipcoin I think), that's how I know. image

What Brad said. I served Room Service to a president AND a king, tonight! Gonna be busy the next two nights, at least, so please forgive me if I don't update this list as often as I normally might. Looks like a lot of the list has been claimed, anyway. Thank you to all who made selections, here. Please go over your list and make sure I marked everything for you. In a few cases, some of you selected coins that were already selected by somebody who posted before you. First come, first served.

It's late and I am very weary, so please check over the list so far and make sure I have it up to date and didn't mismark anything. Don't worry about paying me yet, if you haven't already- I won't be able to ship anything until after the summit is over, anyway. I'll try to put up some of the $6.50 twenty-coin assortments when there's time. I've picked 'em out, but need to scan them and post them. That will most likely be next week, the way things are looking right now.

Mojoman- you were supposed to post your picks here. Here's what I have down for you so far:

    4- OK
    6- OK
    12- was already taken
    13- was already taken
    34- OK
    46- OK
66- was already taken (but I have some more reasonably cheap Nazi zinc coins)
68- was already taken (see comments above)
    72- OK
    111- OK
    115- OK

So that is 4, 6, 34, 46, 72, 111, and 115. I will try to see what else I can scratch up for you, per your PM.
