Yesterday, both myself and my son, Justin, had the great pleasure of viewing the complete Donn Murphy Registry Set of MS State Quarters at the PCGS tables. What a fabulous collection Donn has put together, especially since most of the coins he personally pulled from rolls, bags, mint sets, etc. and submitted for grading.
The CT(p) in MS68 looks like a great candidate to possibly upgrade to MS69 and what a treat to view the elusive GA(p) and (d) side-by-side in PCGS-MS68 grade!! The list goes on.
The only disappointment was the fact that Gayle told me Donn had not been around all day - both myself and Justin would have loved to meet Donn. Perhaps in the near future.
Once again, congratulations on your incredible collection and PCGS' invitation to you to showcase your set at the show!

I also went to the Long Beach show to see the set. Very very nice.
That's my one complaint with the NGC table. It's somewhat "business only" look is tiresome and I wish, possibly on the left side where there is plenty of room, NGC offered an interesting display or two.
(NGC could also improve the lighting. The PCGS tables glow from the abundant lighting made available to them!)
It had quarters that you would not believe came out of the same mint as the ones I find.
