The set is not sealed it is the "one" pack. Or am I reading something wrong?

    From the auction -

<< <i>IN ADDITION THIS SET CONTAINS ONE SEALED MYSTERY INSERT PACK WHICH COULD INCLUDE A BABE RUTH, MICKEY MANTLE, LOU GEHRIG RARE AUTO AUTOGRAPH CUT INSERT! >>

Also, I am happy that the thread title does not refer to something you actually did.

  • The title of the acution says "FACTORY" set. Factory infers sealed to me. Also they say the mystery card is sealed. I have seen these sets. It is very easy to re-seal a mystery card. Why would a dealer remove the Upper Deck seal from the outer white box and shrink wrap from the blue box the set comes in if it was sealed?

"factory" does not mean "sealed" in my opinion.. factory means factory, and hand-collated means hand-collated.. "factory sealed" means "factory sealed"..

  • Well it says the mystery card is sealed and it is hard for me to believe that they would un-seal two sets of boxes and leave the "piece de resistance" mystery car sealed. Gemmy, what do you think?

  • reminds me of yugioh boxes. I fell into a scammer who stated "sealed" "100% tournament legal". I won 5 yugioh boxes. Thankfully, I didn't pay right away. I received an email from someone who bought from him and told me about the scammer. Packs and boxes he sold him were reasealed. 2 days later seller's NARU.

I learned to be specific in asking "factory sealed by upper deck, "100% US tournament legal". Plain "sealed" can be sealed by anybody or some factory. 100% tournament legal can be US, Europe or Asian version. Now I try to read the description carefully.

That box could be sealed by them if it state just plain "sealed" ask if that box is "factory sealed by upper deck"

  • See the Upper Deck embossed sealing tape on top of the box? This is a different product but an example:

Yeah, we get your point, Thanks. Move on. Thoise krukcards boys are known scam artists...whatever.

Krukcards are no scam artists, all their products are clean. Just email them and ask if the set is Factory sealed or not. These guys are known for their honesty.

speaking of sealed, i just opened a sealed factory 1989 wax high series foil case. none of the boxes were shrink wrapped like i've seen others offering as "factory sealed". from my experience with the 1989 upper deck low and high series wax is NOT shrink wrapped from the factory, this is done by individuals.

i put these on ebay and have had one buyer ask me why they weren't factory sealed?

    Thanks,

i must be missing something here as the desription i read simply sez factory set, it then goes on and states that there is a SEALED pack within. no mention of factory sealed shrink wrap etc is made.

and the link has booted me 2x
    Good for you.
  • The goody in this set is the mystery card. If it is a Babe Ruth autographed bat card it is worth well over $10,000. My point is that it is hard for me believe that someone would go through the hassle of opening two sealed boxes when everything in the set is constant except the mystery card. I know the mystery card is easy to re-seal. Any gullible person who is not familiar with these sets....

<I know the mystery card is easy to re-seal>

i guess then it no longer is a mystery, thanks though for the clarification.............
    Good for you.
