  • I'm jealous. I haven't been to Long Beach since '98.

  • I'll be heading that way shortly. Hoping I'll find that nice and shiny something...image

good luck and please tell us what you see and what people are buying...

  • Well I am back, pretty much ignored the liteside stuff although NGC gave me a sample slab with a FL quarter in it, I submitted seven
    GB coins to them.

My first stop was at NorthEast where I picked up the following:
    1826 G IV Half Crown NGC MS63
    1822 Vicky Groat NGC MS65
    1855 Vicky 6D PCGS MS63
    1852 Vicky 1/4 farthing PCGS MS64 BN
    1913 G V 1/3 farthing NGC MS65 RD, (bright red)

Some others I got from a few other dealers were (all are raw):
    1821 G IV 6 P AU+ with gun metal blue toning
1820 G IV Half Crown AU white and probably cleaned at one time
    1887 Vicky shilling BU white
1902 Ed VII Crown XF Blue and Rose tonning
    1953 E II 3P BU
1948 G VI Half Crown BU
1952 G VI Half P BU (bright red)
    1952 G VI 3P BU
    1912-H G V Penny XF

    Non-Britsh:
    1987 Iceland 10 Kronur BU
    1957 E. German 2 Mark BU
    1936 German 2 Rpf UNC

I also picked up a few odd end Proof and Mint coins and sets..

Well that is about it, the show was pretty busy with about 10-15 % of the dealers being darkside. I will post what I submitted to NGC in
a few days with pictures and we can all take a guess as to what the grades might be.

Hope I am not boring you with this stuff.......

Sorry I missed you guys I was there all day. In addition to the usual good stuff from Karl Stephens I got something nice from Spinks and put one coin on a want list.

    1822 Vicky Groat NGC MS65

    What was that date again?

Nice haul indeed. Consider me envious.

That was probably lot #2067 from the Terner II auction.....NEN happened to be the buyer. image

Yes, Wybrit. Methinks the date on the Vic. groat may be a typo. image
