The definitive IKE book. Is there such a thing?

Can someone share a title of a good, comprehensive IKe book?

Thanks!

In response to your question: The definitive IKE book. Is there such a thing?

maybe it should be rephrased to "Should there be such a thing?" image

In all seriousness, Are there enough varieties, etc... to warrant a book?

There are a few very good Ike books. While there's a fairly comprehensive book
on Kennedys the Ike works are a little less so it seems. The best may be "The
Authoritative Reference on Eisenhower Dollars"- Wexler, Crawford, and Flynn.

The "real" authoritative book on Ikes is in my computer awaiting publication!

    Maybe sometime early next year.

The Wexler book is good, particularly the part that I contributed to the book (Just kidding).

Hagars book is ok, but has many inaccuracies.

The Wiley book is great for varieties, but no one really collects them nor are they worth a premium except the 72 Type I,II & III.

The Wexler book is still around.

  • Does anyone know where I can get a copy of Wexlers Ike book? I have searched all the online book stores and I can't find it anywhere. If you have an extra or know where I can purchase one please PM me with the information. I would really like to learn as much about the series as I can and at some point maybe even try to put together a set worthy of registry.

    Thanks in advance,
    Al

  • I would love a copy also, please let me know when it will be available and the cost. You're already selling a book you have not finished yet! That could be a good indication of sucess.

    Best regards,
    Al
