DIE PACK SEARCHERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2004 Team Heros could of been a nice product but the local pack searcher is making it junk! Why can't
companies pack cards in a way that searchers can't get to them? Wasn't it in the 80's where companies
packed cards so they couldn't move in the pack??? How freaking hard is that? I love the idea of
one auto a retail box and 2 bucks a pack, but Im sick of finding 23 count boxes at my local retail
oulet.

Maybe I need to wait outside my local target with a bag full of 98 pinnacle coins in one hand and a baseball
bat in the other!!

Just spring for a factory sealed case.
  • JS, what puzzles me is how do these people know that the pack contains an autograph card. I read that expert searchers can feel if it's GU but how on earth would they know if that pack contains an auto card? I see a lot of auctions on ebay that says guaranteed GU or guaranteed Auto in the pack?! Do they run these pack on those airport x-ray machine?

I don't want to spill the secret but like I said in my post...if companies wrapped the cards so they
were packed like a new deck of cards and couldn't be slid up or down...you would see NO auctions
for guarenteed autos...doesn't that seem like a small thing to fix? I was very happy with the
idea of buying a few packs with a legimate shot at an autograph, but I count the packs first and if
there are 23 I know it is dead...I have only found one box that wasn't searched and it took me
13 packs to get the auto.....26 bucks for a retail auto is a steal, but searched boxes are junk.

The companies need to fix this..there are NO GU in these packs so autographs are the only thing
of value, just make the packs unsearchable you idiots over at playoff!! I get sick of this!

Just spring for a FACTORY SEALED case. Then you don't have to pretend you have a method for determining an autographed card.

You shouldn't have to pay for a factory sealed case to assure yourself of unsearched packs. Maybe the card companies should put their retail packs in little boxes, or something similar, to make them unsearchable. Then, the scum couldn't "feel" the entire display of cards, and the poor kid spending his allowance money would have a realistic chance at the nice cards...

The whole process wouldn't even take putting each pack in boxes...If anyone remembers how 87 fleer
was wrapped, that would be the answer. The companies CAN put the pack searcher out of business
but they choose not to do anything about this. Funny that beckett has never ran a story about it
    either.

    What a bunch of garbage

OK, so what you are saying is that 2004 Team Heroes are only good for the autographed card? The rest of the cards are junk that can be thrown into a shoe box and forgotten? Are they even nice looking? Do they have some sort of aesthetic appeal? I might go to a Target and see if I can buy a box with 24 packs or at least make sure its case fresh. Thanks for the tip off and warning--this helps me out alot. I am sorry that pack searchers ruin your hobby enjoyment. I despise that myself.

I am hearing this alot about modern cards. Many, but not all, are after the GU and autos and leave the rest of the cards for junk. I actually would love to have some Derek Jeter cards just because I am a fan and don't own any yet. Don't people like to collect cards just for nice aesthetic value and have something from your favorite team or player?

I once bought a stack of Darryl Strawberry cards of varying years from someone at a show for a $1. He knew I collected him and decided to get rid of each of them once and for all. I t might of not been worth his time, but he did it because I collected him. What else could could he have done.

actually I was mad when I was writing..the set is actually very nice..it blends the best players now
on teams with the best players in the past. What is even best is that you get an auto per box. You
would be hard pressed to spend 48 bucks at a hobby shop and get yourself an auto!

They also come in retail sealed boxes which might be the way to check them out for 9.99

    Good Luck
