It doesn't look real good at this point.

The good news - four out of five are still alive at the end of internet bidding.

The so-so news - two only have a couple of increments of wiggle room.

The bad news - one closed internet bidding right at my max, and another won't survive if there is even one floor bid.

I didn't make it through internet bidding on the gold 1866 20 peso. Estimated at $1500-$2000, and my bid of $2050 got knocked out. This damn coin is driving me nuts. Have been searching without success for over a year and in the last month or so I've seen 5. Of those, I was outbid on 4 of them, the 5th was at a show and the dealer was never at his table. There's a 6th now on Mercado Libre (Mexican Ebay), and while I've dealt with the seller before, I don't trust the Mexican postal service for expensive coins. <sigh>

Lots of interst south of the Rio on gold. Was the winner posted as bidder 7504? He was a phone bidder who was scarfing up practically all the real nice or rare gold.
