Set Registry Award Question?

Hello All,

I was wondering if anyone knew the answer to my question. I sold my 57 Topps and 64 Topps hockey sets a couple years ago. I still have a couple from the 57 set and was gonna start the two sets again. I won set of the year in those two years.

Here's my question:

If I start the 57 Topps set again and I still have a couple of the cards from that all-time finest set, when I go to register the cards, I can't do it because they are part of a retired set. I have to have them delete the all-time set in order to start the set again which I understand.

My question, if they delete the set from the all time finest, do they still put the icon as an award winner for that set for the year I won it or is that gone when I start my new set? I would think that it should stay next to my new set since I did win it at one time.

Does this make sense to anyone what I'm asking?

Thanks for the input,

Tom
I collect Vintage Hockey cards in PSA 8 or better.

  • If I understand your question correctly, the icon will go away when the set is deleted. If I'm not mistaken, the award is associated with the set not the user. Having said that, I may be wrong. This is just my opinion! image

    Tom,

Do yourself a favor... If you have a major internet provider like AOL or Earthlink - just create a new email address specifically for use for those sets and you can use all the cards you want from them without having them kick out. Easiest way that I can think of...
