You have to host it on a web server somewhere else or take it from a web server that already has it hosted, and then link to it. CU boards don't host pictures on their servers (at least not that I know of). So, for instance, if you have Comcast or any provider that gives you the ability to host a personal webpage, you upload the picture you want to post onto your website, and then run a link to it using the insert "image" icon (4th icon from the left).

Actually CU does host images in the form of set registry uploads , so you can post a card to a set and then link to it here.

You can also "attach" a pic to a post without having it hosted online . Look at the bottom of the reply box ......click on attach files and browse to the pic on your hard drive , click on the pic you want (has to be under 50kb), click on upload file. When it has uploaded, highlight it then click on attach file.

Email me the card jim@facciolli.com and I will "host" it if need be.

Just one of those by the ways - if you go to navigation and select the "testing forum" - you can work out your problems "real time" without fear of messing up on the boards - I know a lot of people are aware of this but I never went in there till last night.
On the posting your own image thing - I have been reading all the different ways people have been shown to do this but I found a really EASY way to do it and am trying to write it in a way that can be understood. The thing I didn't know was that it appears you can post a thread on the testing forum or just use the 'reply' to someone elses testing thread to work out your frustrations.

Anyone want my version of posting a pic on their reply or still have not been able to post a link, PM me and I will be glad to work it out with you.

Scott - I struggled with posting pics for a long time, tried everybody's suggestions - finally, this thread taught me how to do it. Now, I'm a pic-posting fool! So be prepared to become foolish.image

BTW - welcome to the boards. Hope you're trying to post a picture of a '59 Morrell Koufax that you'd like to sell!
