Mitch I want to thank you for the SUPER NICE 2002D Roosie you sold me. I am sure there are many collectors in here who owe you thanks for nice coins in their sets. image

I too, have obtained a number of great coins, at great prices, from Mitch.
I do believe I thanked him at the time, but not in this forum. image

Thanks again, Mitch. You've always, come through for me. image
  • His coins and prices allow the "not so deep pockets" collector to own an MS70 or PR70DCAM. I bought one, then came back for a few more. If you're a serious collector and most importantly appreciate the beauty, he'll bend over backwards to put one in your collection. And he's always responsive and most importantly educates many of us. • I'm sure Mitch is a great guy and I'm the exception that proves the rule. As I assume Mitch is a dealer, I sent him two separate emails some months ago requesting a list of coins he has that I need for my registry set. Now granted, I asked him to look at my set and send me a list of coins I need and that would take a little effort on his part. I never received an answer to my emails. I have bought coins from Mitch and will continue to do so. BUT, he doesn't get my vote for sainthood.

Waldo: I appreciate your post, as it proves we are all human and I apologize for your dissatisfaction.

To clear up any issues on assisting collectors with MS Clad Roosie dimes (I am just guessing that is the series as I do not recall seeing the emails you speak of, but read your posts here), I carry virtually no coins in stock prior to 1999. Why?

    1. Any super date MS Clad Dimes I get in go generally go to one or two collectors that have standing orders with me for those particular coins. They never reach my website and only rarely even hit ebay. I try to arrange with collectors in every series this sort of arrangement, as I believe many other dealers do as well. And, as a collector, you would be surprised that being, say, #3 or #4 on a "go to" list for a particular series gets you many more coins than you might expect, as "#1" and/or "#2" above you often already have that slot filled, have spent their monthly budget, etc.

    2. I slab virtually no MS Clad Dimes myself. If I stumble across a great coin or two in one fashion or another, it would be possible I might submit a couple coins here and there, but, I do not "produce" them myself. I either buy the great, great majority of my coins outright or accept consignments from other dealers or collectors on them.

    3. I always have tons of 1999-2003 MS clad dimes as I buy/get in deals of those all the time. I believe I have handled nearly every MS69FB ever graded between those dates. These are often produced by others in connection with an intensive search for the finest state quarters of these years. I like to sell these in minimum lots of (20) of a date. I will sell any board member a single coin if they PM me.

    4. Besides personally working on my 17 active Registy sets and some set building for classic coin customers who I am working with, my primarily focus these days is on the PCGS-MS70 and PCGS-PR70 markets. My latest website - www.wondercoins.com updates DAILY (sometimes several times a day) and every coin I have is on that website. I generally "work" about 16 hours day, 6-7 days a week, so it is usually very easy to get to me. I started writing this response prior to 6:00 a.m. after stopping "work" last night after midnight.

I hope to do some more biz with you Waldo down the road. image

Well, I'll switch this thread back to its original purpose of praising Mitch. I've always been pleased when dealing with Mitch and hope to buy many more coins from him in the future!

Waldo, try PM'ing Wondercoin. He didn't respond to my e-mail message to him either, but his PM response was super fast. Could be an issue with his e-mail account, or spam blocking software, etc.

Nederveit: Also, in the past I had a problem with AOL and the limit of 1,000 emails every roughly 4 weeks. While you would think that was plenty, it hasn't been at times and there were some emails not getting through last month. PM's are much easier for board members.
