qualifiers

is this one of the times where you tell PSA to have no qualifiers and they drop it a grade?

Thanks,

No, there is probably a crease in it if it's a 5.

Also, isn't a grade drop instead of a qualifier 2 grades?

I am thinking yes, it may have been a 7 and due to its centering was given a 5...........mo
    Good for you.

a crease in a 5??? I would hope not, if so, PSA needs to send the grader back to school..

I don't think he meant a crease so much as a wrinkle. Even the slightest surface wrinkle on the front or back will usually always put the card in 5 territory or below. I can't really see the corners all that well to see what it would be with an OC qualifier if it didn't have the wrinkle (assuming that's why it's a 5). Or perhaps they did request no qualifiers and the centering fell in the range of a 5.

Looks like a PRO 8.5 NM-MT though if you wanted to crack it. Although, you could make it a PRO 10 if you just sliced off enough to center it image

Yes, that is exactly what I meant, thanks for the clarification! It was my understanding that a 5 usually has a surface wrinkle of some sort, and the few times I have submitted and gotten back 5's, I always look for, and find one.

I think centering alone dropped it to a 5.

doubt it's a wrinkle, the corners look soft and it is almost miscut. look at his other auctions , he has a namath that is a 5 mc which looks to have real soft corners. he is also selling all mid grade stuff so I would think the cards exhibit wear and tear.
