Set collectors: don't you hate it when...

a common or minor star card that's needed is autographed. The seller usually wants a premium and I can't stand autographed cards. Just a thought as this has happened a number of times lately.

  • I'm not much of a set collector, but I can relate. I avoid autographed cards unless they leave the factory with the autograph already in place as is the case with many modern inserts. I always figure that if I want a card autographed it will have a lot more meaning/personal value if I obtain the autograph myself. And certainly for set building purposes I wouldn't want an autographed card just on the general principle of preferring an unaltered card for the set.
